Our History
Since its establishment in 1988 by two visionary brothers, Helanka has been a key player in Sri Lanka’s footwear industry. Despite setbacks like the 2003 fire, the company has continued to grow and evolve under the leadership of Mr. Kapila de Silva. Now operating as K Plus, the business oversees multiple locations, including Sri Lanka’s largest shoe mall in Kurunegala, which spans seven floors. With a focus on customer satisfaction, K Plus offers a wide variety of footwear and an exceptional shopping experience both in-store and soon to be available online.

Since its founding in 1988 by visionary co-founders Mr. Rehena De Silva and Mr. Kapila De Silva, K Plus has grown into one of Sri Lanka’s top footwear retailers. Under Mr. Kapila De Silva’s strategic leadership as Managing Director, K Plus has expanded its presence across key regions, including Negombo, Horana, Avissawella, and the monumental Kurunegala showroom. His focus on customers has raised the bar in the industry, making K Plus a brand known for style, quality, and great service.
