Draws Record Breaking Crowds for Unforgettable Shopping!
The fourth edition of Sri Lanka’s largest footwear exhibition, the K Plus Colombo International Shoe Fair 2024, commenced on October 4th  at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center (SLECC). The opening day attracted a large crowd, setting a vibrant tone for the event.
Mr. Janaka Sanjeewa, General Manager of K Plus by Helanka, emphasized the significance of this fair, noting its inception under the vision of Mr. Kapila de Silva, Managing Director of K Plus by Helanka. The first phase of the Colombo International Shoe Fair was held in August 2023 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center (SLECC) and witnessed unprecedented participation, with over 300,000 attendees
He highlighted the continued success of the fair, revealing that the second phase, centered in historic Senkadagalapura, drew more than 200,000 participants. Following that, the event held at K Plus by Helanka’s showroom in Kurunegala which is Sri Lanka’s largest shoe mall, was also exceptionally well attended.
Mr.Kapila de Silva expressed his pride in hosting this significant event for the fourth consecutive time. He shared that K Plus by Helanka has established itself as a reputable brand in the footwear industry over the past thirty-five years. He reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting local manufacturers and maintaining product quality on par with imported goods. Mr. Kapila De Silva also stated that his company is dedicated to uplifting the local footwear industry, supporting industrialists, and bolstering the local economy.
The Colombo International Shoe Fair will run from October 4th to October 20th, open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Attendees can explore over 10,000 models of high-quality footwear and bags for women, men, and children. With more than 500,000 pairs of shoes available at unbeatable prices, visitors are promised a unique and exhilarating shopping experience.
